From scratch

The “Neft” company was founded in 2008 by the group of specialists in the field of selection, procurement and logistics of oil and gas equipment for the purpose to optimize the process of provision oil and gas enterprises with the equipment which is bought “direct from the producer” and complies with the up-to-date quality standards.

“My colleagues and I got the idea to start up our own business a few years ago when we realized that work in the previous company did not give us the opportunity to develop professionally,” said Ruslan Akhmadullin, the General Director of OOO “Neft”.

The lessons learned and the experience obtained in sales and provision of oil and gas and drilling equipment allowed us to start up a new business. What is more, from the very beginning we decided that our company would be a highly reputable manufacturing company with a household name brand. It will be well known to all oil-production and service enterprises not only in Russia but also abroad.

The “Neft” company started its operation in October of 2008. At first the company’s activity covered mainly trading and purchasing operations. Developed relationships with manufacturers and consumers in Russia and Kazakhstan helped the team of young top managers to set up a business in a well-balanced and effective way. Every one of us had an impressive customer’s base and handled all the business transactions starting from the identification of potential customers and purchasing the necessary equipment and ending with its procurement to an ultimate user. The overriding plus of that work was clear understanding of how to suit the market and providing the best quality-price ratio.

“The first two years of our work we devoted to direct sales and the preliminary work on new contacts. It should be noted that we tried to work with oil and gas companies on a direct basis,” stated Vladlena Zakharova, head of sales at OOO “Neft”.

“That work helped us to establish new relations and strengthen them, it helped us to learn and assess the pattern of demand and supply of our new partners, too. There is no doubt that fully formed relations with leading manufacturers of oil and gas equipment also came in handy. These very relations contributed into our first dealer agreements with a number of engineering enterprises.”

In the first year work the “Neft” company became a dealer of Neftemash Krasnodar plant, Osa Engineering Co, Sibtekhnokom plant, etc. Currently we are official representatives of ten manufacturing enterprises of oil and gas equipment in different Russian regions. Dealer status allows OOO “Neft” to guarantee production high quality supported by all the necessary commercial documents, to use that equipment as a unit together with our own products, to make shipment, and to carry out the delivery of products to a final user.

The product line of the enterprise is represented by a full range of equipment for oil and gas industry. In addition to that the company takes into account technical requirements and financial possibilities of a customer and makes the best selection. The payment scheme for the equipment supplied is worked out individually.

At present a special engineering department is being formed at the company for the design of nonstandard equipment and innovative solutions according to individual demands of a customer. The complex disposal system of oil-contaminated soils and drill cuttings is an exclusive product of OOO “Neft”.

 “Our approach is client-centered,” explains Ruslan Akhmadullin. “Our clients appreciate such an approach and that’s why, for the whole period we have been in business, not a single client has left us. Among our clients there are such big companies as OAO “Tatneft” named after V.D. Shashin in Almetyevsk, OAO “Gaspromneft-Tomsk” in Tomsk, OOO “Udmurtneft-snabzhenie” in Izhevsk, ZAO “Ritek-Vnedrenie” in Elabuga, ZAO “Siberian Service Company” in Moscow, ZAO “Geotek holding” in Moscow, ZAO “Kogalymnefteprogress” in Kogalym, OOO “Krasnoleninskneftegas-dobycha” in Nyagan, OOO  BK (Drilling company) Eurasia (BKE) and OOO BK (Drilling company “Geostrim-Vostok” in Moscow, and oil and service companies in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. We appreciate this trust and try to correspond to the high level of our partners.” 

Mastering our own rut

The dynamic development of OOO “Neft” brought substantially closer the realization of our plans to start our own production on the basis of the reopened enterprise OOO “Constructional ironworks “INKOR”. This year the company has purchased production areas on the territory of the former metallurgical complex “Izhmash” and started to prepare the area for production of metal constructions, skid-mounted equipment, pumping and vessel equipment for oil and gas industry, etc.

“The “INKOR” manufacturing enterprise is a hundred percent our own creation and our pride”, claimed Ruslan Akhmadullin. We have been long going towards that aim and we have finally reached the goal. Currently we are busy with adding a production area, we enhance machinery and take extra staff. Four full-fledged brigades are already formed. All of them are staffed with highly skilled workers. It should be noted that it is not easy nowadays to find competent and responsible specialists. There is a labor-scarcity situation in the market, all the more so in what concerns professionals with great experience. Not every qualification suits us. Today there is an exigent need of locksmiths, turners, electro-gas welders, engineers and technicians, etc.

Starting up our own business opened for OOO “Neft” new horizons of development. As Vladlena Zakharova said, “The company’s strategic policy is built up taking into account needs and possibilities of the business manufacturing component. A considerable part of profit is nowadays invested into the development of the enterprise OOO “Constructional ironworks “INKOR”, and there is some logic behind it: our own manufacture allows us to efficiently maneuver in the market, which means that we are able to keep abreast of trends in the market, to form the product line in demand and stay competitive as to prices and the product quality.”

Currently the “INKOR” enterprise not only functions properly, but also ships its own products for Russian customers and for export. More than 100 of units of metal works of vessel equipment, as well as components and assemblies of simple and complicated designs, have been shipped to oil industry workers and drill men.

The important competitive strength of the company is its high level of service: guarantee and post-guarantee maintenance, the possibility to reequip or to repair equipment and spare parts, mounting work supervision, customer training in the implementation phase. Our regular customers confirm our reputation of a fair and responsible manufacturer.

Now a special design-engineering department is being formed in the company. It will be used for the design of nonstandard and innovative equipment according to individual demands of customers. We have already had the experience of such design work. The complex disposal system of oil-contaminated soils and drill cuttings is an exclusive product of OOO “Neft”. It was developed at the request and with the support of our customer from Tatarstan OOO “Industrial ecology” (Almetyevsk). OOO “Constructional ironworks “INKOR” has become the site of manufacture for this system.

The complex makes an indoor hangar consisting of six assembly units each completed with high-technology equipment intended to ensure a step-by-step disposal of oil-contaminated soils both full-complex and off-line. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind project for Udmurtia. This system is labor-saving for the organizations standing up for healthy environment. As for OOO “Neft”, it is a new perspective business direction which allows the company to face the future confidently.
